Hiei is a prominent character from Yoshihiro Togashi's manga series, Yu Yu Hakusho. He is a fire demon known for his cold demeanor, exceptional swordsmanship, and incredible speed.
Hiei first appears in chapter 9 of the manga, initially as an antagonist. However, he later becomes a reluctant ally to Yusuke Urameshi, the protagonist, joining his team as they navigate the dangers of the Spirit World and the Human World.
A key element of Hiei's backstory is his search for his twin sister, Yukina. His quest to find her and protect her becomes a driving force behind many of his actions throughout the series. He also possesses the Jagan Eye, surgically implanted onto his forehead, granting him various powers, including enhanced vision and the ability to summon demonic flames, such as the Dragon of the Darkness Flame.
